Hello. I’m David — a digital creative, a product designer, a UX specialist and a game designer. I’ve spent my 15 year career building meaningful experiences across agencies and dedicated product teams.
I’ve helped grow budding tech startups into public companies. I’ve worked with clients ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500s. I’ve built and led design teams. I’ve managed complex design systems, developed process and directed entire products.
My purpose is making unique, impactful experiences and empowering those around me to create great things.
Experience
2019 - 2024 Director of product design at Rivalry
Joined Rivalry during its early startup phase, designing the entire web, iOS, and Android betting platform while establishing a design system.
Built and led the product design team from the ground up as the company grew from a 12-person startup to 200+ employees and a public IPO.
Oversaw and directed design for 4 unique multi-platform products.
Drove product vision across five global regions, achieving 162% year-over-year growth.
Wrote, designed and launched Rushlane, Rivalry’s first original game.
Designed and launched Rivalry’s casino platform, which increased handle by 40% in its first month.
Represented Rivalry at multiple speaking engagements, industry conferences, and media appearances.
Built a career growth framework and mentored multiple designers.
2016 - 2019 Senior UX designer at Pixel Tours
Designed multiple features for Yulio, a cloud-based VR experience builder for architects and interior designers.
Designed, branded, and launched an early childhood development app in collaboration with the Royal Conservatory of Music.
Designed and launched a customer-facing transportation app.
Contributed to the design of an investment management platform.Worked on experimental projects within Pixel Tours Labs, focusing on emerging technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and voice UI.
Consulted on product strategy for major companies and educational institutions.

Led a 5-person design team, providing guidance and direction on all creative work.

Designed branding for Canada’s largest sake and Japanese food festival.
